Telematic Update.

Currently both the new electric dumpers and the soon to be released 9-tonne ROPS+ will have Telematics fitted as standard.

From later this year, all Thwaites dumpers will be fitted and delivered with Telematics as standard.

Free to Use.

We are delighted to further announce that this new telematics system will be free to use for one year, from the first day of machine registration. A subscription service will then become effective to continue monitoring.

The system we have chosen is an open API telematics system from Matrix IQ. The system has been operating over 10 years and has now been specifically under test for the past 6-months, with leading UK civil and engineering contractor MV Kelly.

A Truly Unique Feature.

A key feature of this open API telematics system will be its ability to not only provide key performance data but to provide a market leading ‘one-hour Theft recovery guarantee.’

Meaning that via a network of Matrix IQ agents, they will have a representative ‘stood by the machine’ within a 60-minute target of the machine being reported stolen. This team acting as the conduit to find and secure the machine ready for recovery or alert the need for police intervention.

Activation & Participation.

The activation which includes service alerts, fault code monitoring and remote diagnostics and monitoring will be managed, via alert from the warranty registration process via the dealer portal, on the Thwaites website.

Telematics has become a powerful tool in the effective management of construction equipment. The data it delivers, directly to customers existing telematics management platforms, enables contractors and hirers to make even smarter decisions, further improve safety, whilst becoming more sustainable and successful.

There will of course be around the clock UK based support for both our distributors and our customers, throughout the period the system is active.

Furthermore, systems can be retrofitted, providing full telematics, comprehensive protection and data provision from day one.
